Sewage Spill Closes Part Of Cape May Shore
CAPE MAY, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Officials in Cape May have closed a recreational area a flood of raw sewage Monday.
Nearly 1,000 gallons of sewage flooded into a storm drain near Ocean Street just before 8:30 p.m.
Because the drain discharges in the surf area, the beach area was closed until further notice.
The beach will be reopened once tests confirm bacteria levels are at acceptable limits.
