Authorities in South Jersey captured a robbery suspect who allegedly struck three banks in Camden and Burlington Counties in less than an hour.
Tanisha Walsh, 20, was apprehended at her home in Sicklerville Wednesday morning.
Walsh is accused of starting her spree at a Columbia Savings Bank in Gloucester Township just before noon on June 23.
The suspect handed a teller-in-training a demand note, but the teller refused to give her any money, police said. Following the denial, the suspect took back her note and fled the scene without incident.
Less than 15 minutes later, police said the suspect entered The Bank on Route 73 in Berlin and handed over her demand note. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
The suspect apparently then drove to a TD Bank on Route 73 in Evesham just before 1 p.m. and used the note a third time. She drove off in possibly a dark-colored SUV after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.
Walsh has been charged with three counts of robbery and is being held at the Burlington County Jail.
