Sketch Released In Willingboro Sexual Assault
WILLINGBORO, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Police in Burlington County have released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault earlier this month.
A 20-year-old Willingboro woman reported she was walking home from work when she was attacked and robbed just before 11 p.m. on October 2.
Authorities said the incident took place in a field behind the MRI Diagnostic Center in the 200 block of Van Sciver Parkway. After the assault, police said the suspect took an unknown amount of cash from the victim's wallet and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro for treatment and staff contacted police.
Residents who frequent the area said the field has been known as a short cut, but can be unsafe at times.
"This is the hangout for the, I guess, I don't want to call them homeless, but bums that drink a lot
so people just chill here because it's secluded and they can just get their alcohol on and other things," resident Jason Igus explained.
If you have any information on the assault, you are urged to contact the Willingboro Police Department at
609-877-6958.
