Behind The Blog: Meet Philly's Renaissance Blogger
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
In the online world, opinions are like Web sites, everybody has one. But, if you're looking for a fresh take on everything, you might want to add Philly's renaissance blogger Michael Sprouse to your blog roll.
"When you have an idea, it just sits there ... and it germinates. You just want to tell people about it," said Sprouse.
And that he does ... streaming thoughts on everything from economics and literature to internet humor and the NFL. It all appears on the site Sprouse calls
'A Renaissance Man's Blog.'The one time reporter turned MBA student may poke fun at having a less than stellar following on his as yet undiscovered blog, but that doesn't stop him from challenging society on issues he says need solutions.
So far, Sprouse has shared his thoughts on what he calls the imminent demise of Apple and offered his own solution to Starbucks' recent struggles.
On the home front, Sprouse suggests the city of Philadelphia employ UPS'
'No Left Turn policy', which has saved the company millions of gallons in gas and reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
"It seems like a pretty obvious and logical program with benefits for UPS, the city and the world at large, which means it's probably not going to happen any time soon," writes Sprouse.
