Behind The Blog: Classy Mommy Makes Good

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― She's a blogger, vlogger and entrepreneur. But, most importantly, classymommy.com founder Colleen Padilla is a proud mother of two.

This stay at home Mom hasn't always been on diaper duty. Upon earning her masters in business administration, Padilla assumed a corporate role within Ford Motor Company and held other positions within the marketing field.

It wasn't until she had her first child that she re-examined her aspirations.

"I wanted to find a way to balance being a Mom and being a professional. So, I decided I would start a blog, experiment a little, write about new products that I liked," said Padilla.

That endeavor turned into a full fledge website called classymommy.com, which now boasts a comprehensive product finder, giveaway section and video review blog that was recently picked up by Walmart.

"Now, I'm one of eleven Moms for a fantastic campaign they're launching next week that allows Moms to post money saving tips by video."

The national campaign will feature Padilla in providing users with advice on everything from coupon savings, technology expertise, domestic advice and frugal tips.

With nearly forty-thousand unique visitors per month, the classymommy website has an established base of readers. Still, Padilla hopes this opportunity will take her dreams for her business and her family even further.
