As a twenty-seven year old graduate student and independent Philly sports blogger, Enrico Campitelli may earn little more than a penny for his thoughts. But, for the thousands who visit his site each month, his posts are priceless.
"I think people like the site because it offers a fan's point of view. It's like a bunch of guys sitting at a bar talking sports," said Campitelli.
As creator of
The700level.com, Campitelli offers an un-cut, un-edited fan point of view including posts on everything from game action and player interviews to rarely seen personal photos of high profile players.
"I try to offer something different. It's not just an article in a newspaper. I keep it fresh," said Campitelli.
So far, that fresh take has taken off with readers. With more than four-hundred thousand hits per month, the site has become a staple among many Philly sports fans.
This week, the site lights up with Camp's commentary on the Phils 2-0 lead in the NL playoffs against the Milkwaukee Brewers.
"It's a Philadelphia sports epic ... and we're going to bring all the latest sports, news, gossip, videos and more!" said Campitelli.
