Spring Forward With Neiman's Spring Collection
The Department Store Reveals This Season's Must Haves
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
If the sunny skies, flowering trees, and warmer weather weren't proof enough, this season's fashion trends act as a sure sign that spring has finally sprung.
Hundreds of women flocked to the Navy Yard Tuesday to take part in "The Art of Fashion," Neiman Marcus' 2008 Spring Collection Fashion show. Many hoped to get the low-down on spring fashion trends.
Floral frocks, vibrant designer bags and accessories with splashes of color were all on display throughout the two-hour event. Still, Neiman Marcus' Public Relations Manager, Denelle Drake, proclaimed this spring "the season of the dress."
Drake went on to explain the importance of color and global inspiration in this season's must-haves.
"You're going to be seeing Asian inspired wear, Indian inspired wear, different color inspirations," said Drake.
Most of the models who took part in the fashion show carried large handbags that complimented their individual ensembles. According to Rita Scheller of Allentown, the accessories stole the show.
"The bags were wonderful and there's a red bag that absolutely caught my eye," Scheller excitedly announced.
The red bag Scheller referred to was a 'Tod's' bag, which is available at Neiman Marcus. Other designer duds included a brilliant orange 'Marc Jacobs' handbag, a vibrantly patterned dress by 'Milly' and a stunning Lavendar Label, 'Vera Wang' dress.
"I really think there's something for everyone," Drake noted. "This season is about really having fun mixing textures and colors together to really make your own statement."
