Philly Mag Fashion Editor On Fall's Top Trends
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
Fall fashion trends look more like a flash from the past ...
"You're seeing strong shoulders, this rocker feel, bright colors," explained Philadelphia Magazine Fashion Director Carrie Denny.
It's all in the September issue of Philadelphia magazine, where Denny breaks down Fall's top trends.
"It's a little bit more hard core than in the past. It's definitely not girly," said Denny.
It's more... rocker chic.
"There's lots of studs, metal accents .. anything from a motorcycle jacket to studded shoes and bags," explained Denny.
Another top trend? Lots of bold colors.
"We're seeing a lot of really bright colors, going back to the 1980's neons."
One color that's making a real splash?
"Red is one of the most prominent colors other there for Fall ...in clothes, accessories, even nail polish," said Denny.
And while it's fun to follow the trends, Denny says it's also about keeping in line with your own sense of style.
"Play around with stuff ... take it in doses that you find cool and it will work for you."
