City Food Tours Offer Taste of Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
When it comes to popular Philly attractions, thousands take to the streets to tour the sights and sounds of the city. But, if you're looking for a taste of Philadelphia, Eric Matzke may have the tour for you.
As director of City Food Tours, Matzke offers tours and events that feature Philadelphia's highest quality, handmade and imported delicacies.
As part of the Philadelphia Artisinal Beer and Food tour, guests will take part in a 2-hour tour and tasting at the Old City Cheese Shop and Triumph brewery.
"We introduce people to different cheese they may not have had before and at the brewery, we introduce our guests to the eight fantastic brews they make at Triumph," said Matzke.
In addition to learning and tasting, guests get to explore how the foods are made, meet proprietors and learn what to look for in great food.
"For those who aren't particularly fond of beer and cheese, they come away knowing there is something for everyone and hopefully, we've introduced them to that."
