How To Pair Your Food & Wine This Season

Swirl, sniff and savor ... three words that define the art of wine tasting and the experience at
Chaddsford Winery.This time of year, most of the tours take place in the wine cellar, where guests learn about the basics of wine making.
"We want people to realize that learning about and enjoying wine can be fun.It is not some haute thing ... everyone can enjoy it," said Co-Owner Lee Miller.
And enjoy it they do ... with eight varieties to choose from, guests try everything from whites and reds to dry wines, sweet wines, light and fresh wines and full-bodied wines.
"We like people to try all different ones, so they can choose which they like," explained Miller.
This Friday, guests will have a similar opportunity as expert somellier Marnie Old conducts a Holiday Food & Wine pairing class.
"She will contrast different flavors ... everything from sweet and salty to fruity and savory. She'll explain which wines go best with each flavor and why," said Miller.
