In addition, a reported nine thousand Chinese couples will wed on August 8, 2008.Here in the United States, couples will also tap into the trend, according to wedding and gift registry site theknot.com, which has seen a four hundred percent increase in the number of weddings on this Friday as opposed to any other.Of course, the most significant 8-8-08 celebration will have the whole world watching as the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing are set to open on August 8, 2008 at, you guessed it, 8:00 p.m.If you'd like to celebrate here in Philly, the "Evening of Champions" will be held in Chinatown beginning at 5:30 p.m. on 10th Street between Arch and Race Streets.
