Roadway Reopened After Willow Grove Base Scare

WILLOW GROVE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Route 611 has been reopened after a suspicious vehicle was found near the Willow Grove Air Force Base Monday morning.

Authorities were notified after a suspicious vehicle was spotted near the entrance to the military base at about 9:15 a.m.

As a precaution, both sides of Route 611 were closed between County Line Road and West Moreland Avenue.

The base's K-9 unit and the Montgomery County Bomb Squad searched the vehicle, but found nothing suspicious.

Officials said the vehicle belonged to an active duty military person.

Further details were unavailable.
