Valerie Levesque
Valerie Levesque joined CBS 3 in March, 2003 as the station's Bucks County reporter. She has since moved to the 11 p.m. weekday newscast as one of its lead reporters.
Since joining the station, Levesque has earned a reputation as one of the Delaware Valley's rising stars covering such national stories as the presidential campaign of 2004 and reporting live from Florida during Hurricane Frances that same year.
Levesque came to Philadelphia from WHP/WLYH, the CBS and UPN stations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she had been a reporter and fill-in anchor since July, 2001. Levesque has also been a freelance reporter for the World Business Review based in Washington D.C. since April, 2000.
Previously, Levesque worked as an anchor for WMDT, the ABC station in Salisbury, Maryland. She began her career at WNBC in New York City in 1996.
Levesque is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego where she earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees, in Broadcasting and Mass Communication and in Modern Spanish Language and Literature. She is proficient in Spanish. A native of New York State, Levesque resides in Philadelphia.
