Nicole Brewer
Digital Journalist Nicole Brewer joined CBS 3's Eyewitness News team in April, 2008 as the first local TV reporter reporting primarily for a website, CBS3.COM. She is also a contributor to Eyewitness News on-air.
Before joining CBS 3, Brewer had been a feature reporter and producer for the nightly news magazine Tempo at WLVT, the PBS station in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. While on staff, two of her reports were emmy nominated as part of a magazine program, one of which went on to win the 2008 emmy for Best Magazine Program or Special.
A former Miss Pennsylvania 2005, Brewer competed in the Miss America Pageant in January 2006 placing as a top ten semi-finalist.
Brewer attended Millersville University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech communications. During her college years, Brewer was president of the National Broadcasting Society. She also served as business manager for the University cable station, MUTV and as a lead anchor for News 99. Brewer interned at WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and worked as a special assignment reporter for GATV, a community access station in Greeley, Colorado.
A native of Philadelphia, Brewer grew up in the Overbook section of the city. Active in the community, she is a volunteer for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. She also serves on the board of KidsPeace, the internet leader in teen crisis counseling. Brewer currently resides in the Society Hill section of Philadelphia. An amateur photographer, she also enjoys golf in her free time.
