Liz Keptner
Liz Keptner, co-anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning with Ukee Washington on CBS 3 and The CW Philly, has been bringing viewers their morning news since September, 2007. Keptner joined CBS 3 as its Lehigh Valley reporter in November, 2005.
Previously, she had been an anchor and reporter for WFMZ-TV in Allentown, anchoring weekend and morning newscasts as well as reporting live from the field.
Keptner returned to the region from KTXL-TV in Sacramento, California where she had been a general assignment reporter since March, 2003. Before joining CBS 3, she also freelanced at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia.
Keptner began her broadcasting career in Zanesville, Ohio at WHIZ-TV as a reporter and anchor, later moving on to WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia. Along the way, she has interviewed newsmakers and notables including Astronaut and Senator John Glenn, Vice President Dick Cheney and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
A Pittsburgh native, Keptner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from West Virginia University in 1995. She and her husband, Scott Babashak, and daughter, Sophie, reside in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
