Race For The Cure In-Person Registration

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Foundation has more than 75,000 volunteers working through a network of Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the CureĀ® to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised $750 million in the fight against breast cancer.

The 16th Annual Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure Philadelphia event will take place Sunday, May 14th, 2006. The event kicks-off at 8:15 a.m. at Eakins Oval in front of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Monday, May 8th was the last day to register for the 16th annual Race For The Cure online. After May 8th all registration must be done in person.

If you can't make it on Mother's Day and want to join the race in "in spirit" you can register as a virtual participant at phillyraceforthecure.org.

By registering to join "in spirit" you can still collect and submit pledges to qualify for the pledge prizes and will receive a free t-shirt to wear on Race day, wherever you are!
