Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day Kicks Off

WILLOW GROVE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― An emotional ceremony was held to open the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day which kicked off in Willow Grove Friday morning.

Thousands of men and women gathered to show their support and encouragement for walkers participating in the breast cancer awareness walk taking place October 5 - 7.

Opening ceremonies were held at 7 a.m. at Willow Grove Park Mall on Moreland Avenue. From there walkers began their 3-day voyage. Closing ceremonies will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Ellis Preserve on West Chester Pike in Newton Square, Pa.
