Jim Osman
Jim Osman, CBS 3 and CW Philly investigative reporter, is a three-time Edward R. Murrow and 15-time Emmy Award winner. He is also the recipient of two prestigious National Headliner Awards for outstanding reporting in 2008 and 2009.
Osman came to CBS 3 in 2005 from KNXV-TV in Phoenix, Arizona where he had been an investigative reporter since 2002. Osman previously anchored and reported in television markets in our region including WMDT-TV is Salisbury, Maryland and WBRE-TV in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania market. He began his career at WILM Newsradio in Wilmington, Delaware where he covered politics and the state legislature.
Since coming to Philadelphia, Osman has exposed the abuse of veterans at the Philadelphia VA Hospital, has led an undercover investigation that revealed military recruiters misleading potential young recruits and exposed a local woman who called herself a doctor and was scamming dying patients out of thousands of dollars.
Osman is an honors graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He interned for NBC's Meet The Press in Washington and completed the Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University.
He is a native of Florence, Burlington County, New Jersey and graduated from Florence Township Memorial High School. He now resides in Center City Philadelphia.
