Ben Simmoneau

Ben Simmoneau joined CBS 3 and The CW Philly as a general assignment reporter in April, 2008.

Simmoneau came home to the Philadelphia area from WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he has been a reporter and anchor since 2003. Previously, he had served as a researcher in Washington D.C. for Chris Matthews' bestseller American: Beyond Our Grandest Notions.

A former intern for CBS 3, Simmoneau's reporting has been honored with a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, two Emmy awards, several Pennsylvania Associated Press awards and a 2006 Walter Cronkite Award for political reporting from the University of Southern California.

A native of Chester County, Simmoneau grew up in Spring City, Pennsylvania. He is a Summa cum Laude graduate of Ithaca College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2003.
