FLEETWOOD, Pa. (AP) ―
Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say a car went airborne on a hill and rolled over in a cornfield, killing two men.
Berks County authorities say the car was heading west when it went off the road, struck an embankment and flipped into the cornfield in Richmond Township.
Fleetwood police say 22-year-old Damon Zettlemoyer of Richmond Township and 21-year-old Robert Werley of Albany Township were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither man was wearing a seat belt and both were thrown from the car. A third man fled the scene.
Police say the crash happened at about midnight Wednesday but was not discovered until about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
