Atlantic City's gambling casinos are not alone in their losing streak.
State Treasury Department figures show revenue at the casinos' parking garages was also down by nearly 6 percent between July 2007 and June of this year.
Parking revenue was $35 million, down from more than $37 million in the previous 12-month period. Gambling winnings for the casinos are down by a similar percentage as more players seem to be choosing slot parlors in Pennsylvania and New York.
The garages have a minimum fee of $3 per vehicle. The state's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority can take up to $2.50 of that.
The agency says it's not being hurt by the parking downturn.
