Police Arrest So. Jersey Molester

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS 3) ― Police have arrested the man accused of molesting a 12-year-old girl inside a New Jersey grocery store.

Investigators said the incident happened October 19 inside an Acme Supermarket on Route 322 in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County.

The young girl apparently got separated from her mother inside the store.

A store employee who saw the man touching the child's buttocks on video, but asked to remain anonymous, told CBS3 "clearly this is a child predator, it was no accidental touching."

Investigators made the arrest after carefully examining grocery store surveillance video and comparing the images to photos on the Megan's Law sex offender registry.

Police describe the man they arrested as being 40-50 years old, 6 feet tall with salt and pepper hair and a mustache. He was wearing gold framed glasses, a plaid shirt and khaki pants.

A surveillance camera outside the store caught video of the man leaving in a two-tone blue and tan 1990 model minivan.
